Account credit expires. FreedomPop credit becomes inactive if not used within 30 days – but you can easily re-activate this credit at no cost. Step 1: Log into your account at my.freedompop.com. Step 2: Click on Billing, from the blue navigation buttons at the top of the page. Step 3: Click on the Credit Balance tab.
If available, use a PayPal account instead (please note, for some activations or purchases, a PayPal account is not an option). Prepaid PayPal debit cards are not supported, but linking a PayPal account is. Switch the payment method from Credit Card to PayPal using the drop down at the very top of the payment method section.
This charge (called a Top Up) puts credit on your account. The credit is used to cover any data usage that exceeds your plan limit. You can disable Top Ups at any time, and your service will be suspended instead. In order to disable the Top Up feature, you would have to sign up for the FreedomPop Safety Mode service, which is $6.99 per month.

Just dispute the charges. FreedomPop will ban your debit card, but since you are not using FreedomPop anyways, it doesn’t really matter. It is very simple why there is a $0.01 charge per month. Although I doubt if 1% of the populace is aware of the reason for it.
